The IBC provides a proactive body of professional consultants who work for the benefit of members and their clients. Below are just some of the reasons why you should join.
Contact with industry stakeholders
The IBC maintains contact with relevant industry bodies and keeps track of issues likely to affect the legitimate activities of members. The IBC will also represent members' views in regards to Government lobbying and other issues.
Professional Indemnity Insurance
An ongoing issue for building consultants is the costs of professional indemnity insurance and public liability. The IBC is endeavouring to negotiate, on a collective basis, rates for these items and other costs on behalf of its members.
Regular updates
To keep members updated on current issues and services and to provide an opportunity for the exchange of ideas and experiences, the IBC conducts seminars, training courses and regular forums. The regular forums and information evenings are held every month and members are notified by a flyer in the mail. Alternatively, all the details are listed in upcoming events.
Referral service
The IBC offers members a free referral service to compliment their own marketing activities. By visiting the Find A Member section of this website or telephoning Master Builders, the general public can obtain the names and contact details of IBC members that can undertake work according to their specific needs. With over 35,000 enquiries per month, the Find A Member referral service is a valuable promotional tool for members.
